TestLab Power Electronics
Our TestLab Power Electronics is accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2005 and offers characterization of PV- or battery inverters, DC/DC converters as well as uni- and bidirectional charging controllers.
Our services include measurements according to international grid codes and precise efficiency measurements. Therefore, the laboratory has its own high power connection to the HV grid(110 kV). For the verification of the inverters' behavior in case of short-time grid faults, a medium voltage UVRT/OVRT test facility for devices up to a nominal power up to 10 MVA is available. A high dynamic grid simulator (1MW) gives us the possibility to test the reaction of high-power inverters on dynamic frequency and voltages deviations. For the DC-supply of inverters, adequate solar array simulators or battery simulators are available. Further, the equipment of the laboratory has up-to-date and high-precision power measuring devices up to 5.000A/1.500V.
For the test of devices at different climatic conditions, a climatic chamber is available, which controls a temperature range from -30°C to 80°C and a relative humidity range from 10% to 95% r.h..
Moreover, we are offering the modelling and simulation of the dynamic behavior of decentralized energy systems. Our services include grid integration studies as well as the analysis of grid stability issues in grids with high shares of renewable energy sources.
