Multi-Junction Solar Cell

Researchers at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE together with the company EV Group (EVG) have developed a new silicon-based multi-junction solar cell, which can convert exactly one-third of the incident sunlight into useful electricity.

»ENGEL«

The ENGEL project will lay the foundations for a structured and generally applicable process for the grid connection of offshore wind farms.

SuPerTandem

The SuPerTandem project aims to develop manufacturing technologies for 2-terminal tandem cells and monolithically connected modules on flexible films using low-cost perovskite absorber layers.

Green Gold

The startup New Standard Oil successfully commissioned the industrial-scale prototype for drying and torrefaction of biogenic residues. The process developed by the Fraunhofer IGB produces raw materials for the energy industry.
