Simulation models are cost- and time-saving development tools. The software BaSiS - Battery Simulation Studio simulates all relevant physical and electrochemical processes and aging processes in Li-ion batteries under different operating conditions.
Design data and characteristic parameters of cell chemistry serve as a basis. The nonlinear model provides: prediction of terminal behavior, high accuracy, arbitrary battery states, insight into internal processes, testing of state recognition algorithms. A real-time variant for use in hardware in the loop test benches is also available. In combination with an electronic power supply, virtual batteries can be created that precisely simulate the clamping behavior of real batteries.
