The decentralized generation, distribution, conversion and provision of electrical energy is becoming increasingly important. Various applications require different forms of electrical energy conversion.
These include highly efficient power inverters that convert direct voltage into alternating voltage and feed it into the power grid. The DC voltage comes, for example, from battery storage, which serve as an instantaneous reserve in the event of a power failure.

This technology is driven by the constant development of new powerful microcontrollers that enable the implementation of fast and complex controls.The core idea of our concept is the modulation of the switching frequency, the duty cycles and the time delay between the driver signals as a function of operating points.

This ensures the lossless switching of the power semiconductors in all operating points. In addition, the further losses, mainly the forward losses in the switches, in the storage inductor in the input and output capacitors can be minimized.Consequently, the power converter can achieve extremely high efficiency within a wide power range.
