This exhibit represents a Li-Ion cell that has a cell-internal reference electrode. This reference electrode, based on a ISIT patented technology, allows the direct and independent determination of the elektrochenicas states of the electrodes. As a result, safety critical states on the electrodes (for example Li-plating, caused by anode potentials lower than the permissible anode potential) can be detected. The terminal of the reference electrode is the terminal rod on the side edge of the cells.
ISIT technology is currently the only solution for cells in practical use. Other known reference systems are laboratory solutions which no suitable use for industrial puroses. This offer is aimed at cell manufacturers and , to a large extent, at users who want safety monitoring for their application.
